Throughout the year I work to foster a positive school climate and culture, this happens as the outcome of a collaboration of students, staff, and parents working together towards this common goal. As the result of an emphasis on student’s social and emotional development (SEL - social emotional learning), I also facilitate school wide character education programs that share common SEL and school climate objectives. School initiatives are designed and implemented, and class lessons and/or activities are utilized to help children develop responsible decision making and problem solving skills, and the ability to regulate their emotions.
